ABOUT US
The New York Fire Sprinkler Contractors Association Inc. was established in 1934. The by-laws for the organization were formally adopted in 1983.
The NYFSCA is a not-for-profit corporation established to promote the business of installing, repairing, and inspecting fire sprinkler systems by educating the public, elected officials and appointed officials about protecting public safety through the use of these systems.
The Association's Mission:
- Promote the fire sprinkler concept as the most efficient means of saving lives and property from the ravages of fire.
- Provide information concerning fire sprinkler protection to community boards, news media, business and industry, government and institutions of higher learning.
- Provide programs to raise the level of competency and technical proficiency in the New York fire sprinkler industry.
- Promote legislation, building and fire codes, contractor licensing and technical standards where appropriate and necessary.
- Promote the fire sprinkler industry as a separate and distinct trade that is skilled in the manufacture, design, installation, maintenance and inspection of fire protection systems.
